Serena D'Ambrosio - Serena is an Italian artist who holds a master’s degree in film and visual arts. He is an artist that has experience as a writer and gallery curator. Serena’s work focuses on the deeper meanings found in the expressions of the human face. The viewer is invited into the world and emotions of a nameless face which allows for a deep understanding and connection into the human experience. His iconic piece “The Weight of the Grimace” framing is a tight close-up of a young man which is almost claustrophobic as the face occupies nearly the entire canvas. This forces the viewer into a direct and intimate confrontation with the protagonist’s gaze.
