“My work is about connection—nature, family, and the feeling of home. I paint hummingbirds, nests, florals, and vessels as symbols of life cycles, hope, and renewal. The hummingbird is where it all began. My dad had feeders on his porch in East Texas, and we spent hours watching them together. After he passed, they started showing up again—in life and in my work—guiding me to painting and becoming a constant thread in what I create.
I’m a bit of an experimenter at heart. I love diving into art workshops, playing with new materials, and seeing what happens when I mix things up. The process keeps me curious and always moving forward. I work in mixed media—acrylic, encaustic, collage, and other materials—layering them to build texture and depth.
Traveling the world inspires my color and shapes, but the process is always the same—it’s part intuition, part puzzle. When it all comes together, there’s a moment of clarity and joy.
That’s what I’m chasing in every painting.”
